Mindfulness is very much the current hot topic; but what is it? Mindfulness is an awareness that arises through paying attention, moment-by-moment, in an open way, allowing our experience to be just as it is.

Practising Mindfulness helps us to be more fully awake to our lives. It can help us stay in touch with ourselves and what matters to us. At times of difficulty mindfulness can help us to face what is happening with courage and allow us to make wise choices for ourselves. At the Mindfulness Today we teach mindfulness-based approaches through courses, workshops, retreats and bespoke events

WE ARE

At the Mindfulness Today we aim to provide our course participants with the very best care; delivering the 8-week course to the highest standards.  The Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course follows the guidelines as advocated by Jon Kabat-Zinn.  Our course facilitators have received their training at Bangor University; based on Kabat-Zinn’s model.

On completion of the course we encourage you to come along to our twice monthly practice classes as well as the monthly full day silent practice. These group sessions will support your practice and ensure you continue to benefit from your Mindfulness training.

There is now significant evidence-based research showing that training in mindfulness and MBSR can positively affect participants’ ability to reduce medical symptoms and psychological distress, while learning to live life more fully. The MBSR programme helps people with a wide range of difficulties, including stress, anxiety, panic, depression, fatigue and sleep disturbances, high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer, asthma, skin disorders and neurological disorders.

At the Mindfulness Today we teach mindfulness-based approaches through courses, workshops, retreats and bespoke events.
