Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains how The Mindfulness Today (“we”, “us”) collects and uses personal information when you visit themindfulnesstoday.com. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in an open and honest way, in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information we collect

We only collect personal information that you choose to give us, plus limited, privacy-friendly analytics data:

  • Enquiries. When you complete the contact form we receive your name, email address, and message so we can reply. This is delivered to us by email; we do not store it in a database or add you to any marketing list.
  • Usage analytics. If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type) so we can improve it. IP addresses are anonymised.

Cookies & consent

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use Google Analytics 4 with Google’s Consent Mode: analytics cookies are switched off by default and no analytics cookies are set until you choose Accept on our cookie banner. If you choose Decline, no analytics cookies are stored.

Your choice is remembered in your browser. To change it, clear this site’s data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again on your next visit. We do not use advertising, re-targeting, or social-media tracking cookies.

How we use your information

We use the information above only to respond to your enquiries and to maintain and improve the website. Our lawful bases are your consent (for analytics cookies) and our legitimate interests in answering your messages and running a functional website.

Sharing & third parties

We do not sell your personal information. Analytics data is processed by Google (Google Ireland Ltd). Contact-form emails are handled by our email provider. These providers act on our behalf and are bound by their own data-protection obligations.

Data retention

We keep enquiry emails only for as long as needed to deal with your request and for our records, after which they are deleted. Google Analytics data is retained according to Google’s standard retention settings.

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
